Buddha Cave

The word Buddha is a sanskrit word that means “The awakened one”.This is the term that is used to refer to the founder of Buddhism. He was not a god nor a prophet nor a messiah. The Buddha was born as a human being and due to his effort attained the state of perfect wisdom and complete sensitivity to all that exists. In other words, he awoke to his own potential and to the true nature of the world around him.

This is state is traditionally called “enlightenment” and is the essence of the Buddhist teachings. All the teachings and practices are aimed at helping the human being, man or woman, to realize its own enlightened potential.

“Do not commit any non virtuous action,
commit only perfect virtuous actions,
subdue your mind thoroughly,
this is the teaching of the Buddha”
